Sorry this is a day late. I've actually had to go into work this week and boy it's been a heck of a week so far!!! Can't wait until Friday!!!

Now, on to the WINNER of the Tax Day Blues Blog Hop, alot of you guessed correctly on how much my "refund" (no refund, actually had to pay) was. It was $6, a $5 in the left and $1 on the right, and just in case anyone was wondering, I went with a Cinnamon Dulce! :D

For my project I made my first tri-fold card! Super easy, I don't know why it's taken so long for me to try it. Martha Stewart's Scoreboard really made it easy for me, she has all the dimensions listed on where to score for several different card shapes, envelopes and even, boxes!!! I would highly recommend it!!! Well enough about Martha, and on to my card!!! Sorry about the fuzzy pictures, you can click on each one to get a better look.

Ingredients~

I found Ralph and Refundman at "Dude Time Doodles" http://www.dudetimedoodles.com/They have some really great "Guy" Digis there!!!

Their real names are "Revenge of the Nerd" and "Henry Hero" and I colored them with Copics

The card measures 9 x 6 3/4 and is scored at 2 1/4 and 6 3/4.

Red and Blue card stock-AC Summer

White-PTI

Patterned paper-AC-Tea Party, cut 6 x 2

Fonts-"Chipper" (front) and "Hey Arnold" (inside). I found "Hey Arnold" (yes the cartoon) at TypeNow.net

I couldn't decide on what CANDY to give out, so I decided on a GOODY BAG/BOX, of course filled with GOODIES!!!

Can you guess how much my REFUND was??? I'll give you a few of hints:

#1~ There is only one "bill" in each pocket of the card.

#2~ I'm using some of  it in the morning to stop by Starbucks for a Double Tall 4 Pump SF Vanilla, Soy Latte', Extra Hot or maybe a Double Tall Cinnamon Dole with 2 Splendas, extra hot. Hmm??? I am way over due for Starbucks!!!

#3~ I won't have much left after my Starbucks. :(

Ok, so since I got this award twice, here are 14 random things (in no particular order) about me...

April Fools Day Blog Hop

Welcome to It's A Joy 2 Scrap's April Fool's Day Blog Hop!!! I hope everyone is having a fantastic Friday!!!  If you came here from Jillian's at http://www.jillianbeancrafts.com/, you are in the right place. However, if you happened upon my blog, please head over to April's at It's A Joy 2 Scrap's blog so you don't miss any of the fun! I just want to thank April for inviting me to play, this is only my 2nd Blog Hop, so I'm super excited!!! There are lots of talented ladies on this hop, so I hope you enjoy!!!

  
For this hop, we were asked to create a project that “tricks the eye.” I didn't want to make a card, I wanted to do something arts & crafty, as I haven't done anything like that in while. I have to tell you, this was a tough one for me, but all of a sudden it just hit me!

I have totally been in the cupcake mode lately with watching all the cupcake shows on TV, how could I not! I LOVE cupcakes, LOVE to make them & eat them!!! So I decided to make a "faux" cupcake, there were lots of great blogs & u-tube videos with tutorials. I had really wanted to make something a bit more grand than this, but work & family obligations kind of got in the way,  I was down to the wire on this one. BTW, notice the M.S. Cupcake Cookbook??? I highly recommend it, there's a chocolate frosting recipe in there that's to "die for"!!!
 

BTW, MY KITCHEN IS NOT ORANGE! LOL!!!

Supplies:
3" Styrofoam ball cut in half
Styrofoam cone cut from the top
Lightweight spackling for frosting
Blue gel food coloring 
Hot glue gun
Paper crimper
Pattern paper is American Crafts~ala Carte~Pumpernickel
Tiny brads from my stash
Real candle

I found Lisa's http://lisatutmanoglesby.typepad.com/my_weblog/2008/08/almost-good-enough-to-eat.html to be the quickest for me since I was in such a time crunch. She has a  some real cute ones. *TIP* I used a frosting spreader (not sure if that is the technical name)instead of a putty knife.

Emily's, from http://www.craftyavenue.com/school/articles/entry/9/94/ are really cute too, she has a bit more ingredients and steps to follow, but they look like they are worth it. It's also a great blog for all things crafty!
