PAWSITIVELY CUTE GIFTS!!!

Hi Everyone & Happy New Years Eve!

Today, I thought I would share a few handmade gifts I made for the puppy enthusiasts in my family. Everything was made with things I already had on hand, so it was super convenient. They were also used with the same free SVG file (sorry can't remember where I found it) & my Cricut Expression (since I haven't updated my MTC version yet).
My sister-in-law has a girl schnauzer by the name of Harley that she absolutely adores, so I decided to make her this night shirt. I suppose I should have brought out my sewing machine & finished the edges, but I honestly have never learned how to use the darn thing (computerized).
Before
After- "Ruff" is from the AK cart
Closer look
And the back
My Sister & her Husband have 2 Bernese Mountain Dogs so they love anything Berner/Dog related so I decided to make them some coasters. I found the coasters at a yard sale a couple of years ago (& knew I would do something with them at some point), they were great because they already had the cork on the back, so there wasn't much I had to do.
Some M.S. paint, foam brush & tape
After 1 coat
After 7 coats-Vinyl cut out of Paw & Clear Sealant
Packaged up all pretty-Linked to Passionately Artistic & Pink Cricut See My Linky Love tab at the top of my blog.
I also made them an ornament (I know, the glitter is soo last season, but it was on hand) & one for Mr. Gilby as well.
I just couldn't resist taking a picture of Gilby's first Christmas, look how cute he was!!!

As always, Gilby & love your comments...his tail just wags away when he sees me smile!!!
We hope that you have a Safe & Happy New Years Eve!!!
Thanks for stopping by!

The Bug Magazine...."Cutie Pie"

Hi Everyone!

The highly anticipated Bug Magazine has finally come out with their first addition and this little "cutie" is on page 22!!! I couldn't believe it when I got the news, I was sooo excited!!!  I've never had any of my projects published before, this might be my claim to fame ...LOL!!!

Have to say, Gilby was NOT with me on this one!  In order for me to get the placement of the heart on the little bottom just right, I needed his help.  Can you believe that little punk (I call him punky) wouldn't try it on for me?!?!!!  I had to get the help of one of my teddy bears (yes, I have several teddy bears)...LOL!!!

Please let me know what you think, I hope you like it as much as I do!!!

Supplies:
Carts-Cuttin' Up ("Cutie"), Plantin School Book (Hearts), From my Kitchen (Pie)
Deep Cut Blade
Steam a Seam 2
Fabric Scraps

If you haven't subscribed to The Bug Magazine yet, I would highly recommend it.  They have tutorials, there are lots of talented crafters making different projects, I even recognized a couple of my blogger friends!!!  They are currently looking for submissions of Birthdays ,Graduation, Weddings, Summer, Fathers & Pets for their May/June issue...you could have your claim to fame too!!! LOL!!!

Gilby and I love comments...his tail just wags away when he sees me smile!!!

Be Thankful Blog Hop

I have to say that I am very Thankful to be included in this special blog hop! I have Sarah over at  http://www.pinkcricut.com/ to thank for for including me along with all the wonderful crafters you've seen todayt! You should have arrived here via  http://luvmybabygirl.blogspot.com/ , if not be sure and start from the beginning http://www.pinkcricut.com/ so you don't miss anything.

To go with the theme of the hop Sarah asked that we list some things that we are Thankful for. After the past couple of years we have had, I'm Thankful for sooo much!!! The first thing I'm most Thankful for is having GOD in my life! If it weren't for my faith, things could have turned out differently. My boys are doing so well, I'm very proud of the young men they have become. I have a wonderful hubby, who is very supportive of me & he's my best friend. I'm Thankful my hubby and I both have FT jobs now, and we have a roof over our heads. I know these things can be taken for granted, BUT I don't....at least not anymore!

The first is a place mat I made out of fabric & my Gypsy. I love to cut fabric on my Cricut, works perfectly using Steam a Seam 2. For this particular project I used the leaf in Gypsy Wanderings, I also used my new I-Rock!

Instead of a place card I made a wine tag instead. The stamp is from "Bountiful Blessings"  Pink by Design, I used a rub-on for the letter T and twine is from Paper Tray Ink.
You know how you always have lot's of leftovers after Thanksgiving Dinner, well I thought instead of doggy bag, I'd make a Gobble bag. :)  You can fill it full of goodies for your guests to take home and they'll love the bag.  For this project I used my Gypsy and Create a Critter. Papers are S.E.I Simple Sets & Me & my Big Ideas Autumn Layer Pack.  I also used some googly eyes and blinged up his hat with my I-Rock.  For the tag I used another stamp from "Bountiful Blessings" that says Gobble til you Wobble...soooo cute!
Now on to some BLOG CANDY!!!!  Aren't you glad you stuck around??!!! I'm sooo excited to have my first give away!!!  All I ask of you is to make a comment on this post with a way to get in touch with you AND consider following me.  If you like what you see on my blog AND to WANT to follow, that would be great, but I'm not going to force you to follow me if you don't want to.  I will pick the lucky winner of these beautiful stamps on Monday evening (eastern time).
Thanks for stopping by!
