MCT THROWBACK THURSDAY CHALLENGE...HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MEEEE!

Hi Everyone!
My Birthday is coming up & I thought I would make myself a Birthday card! Why not, right, we make cards for everyone, maybe we should include ourselves too! I had been wanting to use this set of stamps for a while & thought this was the perfect opportunity since Emma's current Throwback Thursday Challenge is a Cricut-less Challenge. I really like how it turned out, I can keep it in my craft-room & sing Happy Birthday to myself..lol.

MCT THROWBACK THURSDAY CHALLENGE...

Hi Everyone!

Before we get to my project, I wanted to be sure that you all know that Miss Emma from MCT is having her sneaky peeks this week for her brand new release this Friday!!! You'll want to head over there all this week for the peeks & to see what she & her DT have created, these ladies know how to inspire!!! Oh, and did I forget to mention that there are lots of chances to win some fabulous prizes!!!

For MCT latest Throwback Thursday Challenge the rules are to make a card using the "Card Feature" from an older Cricut Cart, but it has to be a Halloween card.

I decided to use "Wild Card" & my Gypsy
The Window Card is on pg. 43, but I flipped it horizontally & vertically so the
window would be at the bottom-sized at 5.5 x 8.5 (real dial size)
I also used the Frame from the same pg-sized at 5.47x4.45

The Cute Little Ghost is from "Paper Doll Dress Up"
I used the hide/contour feature on my Gypsy so I could use a PKS face of course!
She is cut at 3.7 x 2.04 & cut twice to layer.
It's hard to see, but there is purple bling in between the crystal bling in the
upper right hand corner.

The Cute little "Ghostest with the Mostest is from MCT "All Around Halloween"

~Other Supplies~
PKS "Everyday Character"
AC Grape Glitter Cardstock
AC Cardstock-Black & White
I-Rock & Bling
Crystal Embossing Powder Mixed w/M.S. Sugar Plum Glitter
Purple Ribbon (from stash)
Copic Marker-Blush
Black Gel Pen
Pop Dots

I hope you like my sweet little ghost!!!

As always Gilby & I love your comments...his tail just wags away when he sees me smile!!!

MCT THROWBACK THURSDAY CHALLENGE...BIRTHDAY MARTINI

Hi Everyone!
Hope you all are doing well!!!
I made this card for my Mom's Birthday which is today, Happy Birthday Mom!!! I'm also including it as an entry for Miss Emma's Throwback Thursday Challenge. The challenge was to create something from one of the "Font" cartridges, but you don't have to use the actual font, it can be an image, as there are lots of "Font" cartridges that have really great images as well. I chose the "Cuttin' Up" cart for my project, because I knew it had exactly what I needed to make my mom's card,The Martini!!!

My mom is a HUGE fan of The Martini, ever since I can remember that's been the only alcohol she drank, except for wine. I used to love it when she would give me the olive & still do!!! Now me, I'm not such a fan of The Martini, in fact I think they are nasty, but give me the olive & I'm a happy camper!!! No need to call social services people, think the time limit has long since past!!!

Ok, so on to my card, I found this ribbon at Michaels probably over a year ago & I knew then that I wanted to make my mom or sister (yeah, she likes those nasty things too) a Martini card, it's perfect!!! I'm really pleased with how it turned out, I hope you all like it as well!!! There is one thing I would change if I were to make it over again & that is the Bling-Bling. I would have put the green on the glass & the diamond on the card, but oh da well. :D
Sorry, not the best photos

The Martini glass can be found on pg. 74 of "Cuttin' Up" I used the Main cut & Shadow feature for the glass & the "Holly Cow" cut for the olive. Everything was cut @ 4"
I used PTI & AC Cardstock I used my I-Rock for the Bling-Bling as well as
"Fired Brick Distress Stickles" for the pimento
All Stamps & Dies are Miss Emma's
~Happy Birthday~"Stitched Oval Die" & sentiment is from "Gift Card Sentiments"
~Celebrate You~ "Scallop & Oval Stitched Die" & the sentiment is from "Many Greetings"
~Little Martini Glass is from "Anyday Bingo & Cross Word"

As always, Gilby & I love your comments...his tail just wags away when he sees me smile!!!

TBT CHALLENGE & ANOTHER SHOUT OUT ABOUT MISS EMMA'S SNEAK PEEKS!

Hi Everyone!

Happy Wednesday! Have you all been checking out Miss Emma's (MCT) Sneaky Peeks this week??? If not, you had better get on over there & check them out, you have 6 chances to win some fabulous prizes this week!!! Plus you just need to check out the awesome projects she & her DT has made!!! Don't go just yet though, take a peak at my project first & maybe leave some lovin' if you want! :D

This is my card for My Creative Time's Throwback Thursday. This was a  "CRICUTLESS" Challenge, we had to kick it "Old School" by using punches &/or your cuttlebug! We needed to Create a CARD using the colors PURPLE, ORANGE, GREEN & BLACK!

Thought this would be a piece of cake & that I could wait until the last minute & just whip it up in a breeze, I thought wrong, what was in my brain didn't quite turn out the way I had envisioned it, but that's the way it goes sometimes. Not going to let that stop me from entering it though. You can tell it was down to wire, because the Glossy Accents on the one guys face hasn't even dried yet & I strategically placed my watermark over a thumbprint on the card! lol

Recipe:
I used Miss Emma's "Stitched Circle Embossing Die" for the 3 circles on the card (love it!) with my Cuttlebug
I also used her "Curly Label Die" along with the Stamped Frame from "Inspiring Words Accents" (love how it just fits so perfectly) I heat embossed it with some clear embossing powder & MS purple glitter
The sentiment "Trick or Treat" is from her "Mixed Holiday Sentiments" which was all embossed with the same mixture.
I used the Martha Stewart 1" Circle Punch to punch out the 3 faces from her (MS) "Creepy Face" paper pack.
I also used papers from the "Halloween" set from K&Co. Tim Coffey
Cardstock is DCWV "Brights"
Ribbon & Brads are from my stash
Pop Dots
I used Glossy Accents, Black Glitter Glue (doesn't even compare to stickles) & a googly eye for the faces.

As always Gilby & I love comments...his tail just wags away when he sees me smile!!!

PS~Don't forget, next week is our BIG Makeover Reveal & Doggie Walk!!!

WISH BIG OF A WHALE CARD/THROWBACK THURSDAY CHALLENGE

Hi Everyone!
It's Wednesday, I don't know about you all, but it feels like it should be Friday!!! Guess that's why they call it "Humpday", let's hope today goes by quickly. My son is working with his dad today, so I won't have his company while working today. It's nice to hear his voice in the background or to stop & have lunch with him. Guess Gilby will have to do for today and he talks a lot, some times, too much!!! LOL

I'm finally able to enter another one of Miss Emma's Throwback Thursday !!! I just recently got one of her stamp sets & I love them, the quality is supreme, just like PKS. I'm also very excited because she is having previews of her new stamps this week, I can't wait until Friday to see them all!!!

The challenge was to use either the Just Because or Wild Card carts & to incorporate any kind of embossing that you like. I chose to use the Whale on the Just Because cart, because I thought this stamp would work perfectly with the Whale. I'm not a 100% happy with this card, I kept messing with different ribbons for the top & nothing seemed to work, so I ended up with the 2 rope knots. I wish they would come out with twine that was a solid color other than the craft kind. I have a bunch of the mixed colors of the bakers twine, but it doesn't work on every project, so if anyone knows of where I can get some solid colors please let me know. I used dry embossing, with my CB. You can't really tell, but he's on a wobble.

Ingredients:
Gypsy-I welded the 2 ovals together & used it to create the rest of the card (I love my gypsy)
Cricut Cart-Just Because (all cuts are from that cart)
Stamps ~My Creative Time~Wow So Many Candles & PKS-Critter Faces (med)
CB Folder~Spots & Dots
Cardstock~PTI & DCWV Textured
Chalk~Pebbles Pearlesence (for the whale)
Stickles~Tim Holtz~Distressed~Faded Jeans & Baby Blue
Rope~From Stash
Pop Dots
Wobble
Ink Pad~Momento~Tuxedo Black
Black Marker
White Gel Pen
