CHRISTMAS IN AFGHANISTAN

Hi Everyone!

I know, I know Christmas is over, but I wasn't able to share this with you before.  This is the card I made for my oldest (21).  He was in Afghanistan (Air Force) during Christmas, so I thought this was a cute idea.  I'm happy to say he just got back in the States now!!!  I'm so thankful that he is safe & sound, just wish he was home with me!!!  Sounds like he may be able to come for a visit in March for my Birthday....soooo excited!!! It will be a year in March since I last saw him. :(

He loves to play the guitar, both acoustic and electric.  Last year when he was in Japan I sent him a card with a snowman playing guitar, so I thought I'd keep the tradition up using a guitar in his card.  It didn't turn out as well as I had wanted, but I'm still very happy with it and he liked it, and  that's all that matters! :)  Would love to hear what you all think!!!

Supplies:
Carts~PDDU (Camel, Santa's Bag and Reindeer Antlers)
            Rock Princess (Guitar)
            Gypsy Wanderings (Sun)
I took scrap paper, sprayed it with water and crumbled it up layering it to look like sand drifts and used MS gold glitter on top. I also used red puff paint for Ruddy's nose.

Gilby and I love comments...his tail just wags away when he sees me smile!!!

Thanks for stopping by,

  1. Oh this is so adorable. It is hard to have sons and not see them. I am happy to hear your son is back and all right.
Thanks for coming on the Love is in the air blog hop and for the sweet comment about my card.
