TRICK OR TREAT BLOG HOP~PILLOW TALK...HUH???

Hi Everyone!

Welcome to the Trick or Treat Blog Hop!!! I LOVE Halloween, so I'm super excited to be on this hop!!! There are bunch of fantastically creative blogsters on this hop, starting with Angie  @ ATuttleTime...Time to Craft. Halloween is her Favorite time of the year, so of course she wanted to do something fun & something fun is what this hop is all about. You should have just come from Mary's house, MareBearSraps, isn't she awesome?! When you are finished going around the block, you should definitely stop back by her house to check out all her goodies!!! If you are lost (I hope you have a flash light), you should start at the first house on the block which is the Amazing Angie   she has the list of houses on the block who have the best treats!!!

We were asked to create Trick or Treat themed cards, treat holders, bags, or treat boxes....Something fun, cute, and quick and easy to make that incorporate our favorite thing about Halloween....CANDY! Did someone say candy??? Helllooooo, I LOVE candy, I love all different kinds of candy (chocolate mostly), a few of my favorites are Reeses, Twix, Hershey Bar..the list goes on & on. Heck my hubby & I were married at the Hershey Lodge, so we pretty much love anything Hershey. It's bad...I have a crystal Hershey Kiss candy dish (from our Wedding) filled will Kisses most of the time!!! There is one candy bar that I love, but forget about until Halloween & that's the 100 Grand, man oh man is that yummy!!! The had them at work today! It's a good thing I only go in once a week!!!

Ok, so on to the treats I made! I saw something on youtube the other day (sorry can't remember who it was) & she made a mummy pillow box, but with torn paper, it was super cute, but I wanted to put my own spin on it. Was super easy to make.

I used My Gypsy w/the Easter Cricut Cart for all the boxes, I used the hide/contour feature to get rid of the bunny that was in the middle of the box. I think there are a few carts that have the pillow box on them, though I have to say her boxes looked better. I think she used a Stampin Up die or maybe a Sizzix, hers didn't show all the slits like mine did from my Cricut.

Here's what you will need for the Mummy Box
I used a combination of the distress ink to color the box & just wrapped strips of cheese cloth around it. Used the cropodile to make the hole for the Tootsie Pop.
Next is Frankenstein
I used the PDDU Cart for his hair
Here comes a little Spidey
Much cuter in person
The trio

These were sooo much fun to make & you can whip out a bunch in no time if you have everything pre-cut & organized!

Now, since this is a Trick or Treat Blog Hop, of course I just had to have some candy!!! Actually, we have a little bag of Halloween goodies for the winner, but first you have to say "Trick or Treat", no just kidding, but I would like to know what your favorite candy is, oh wait Gilby has something he wanted to say, he would love for you to follow us & to grab our new blog button, but of course it's not a requirement. I have to remind Gilby of that, he thinks that just because he is soo cute that everyone would want to follow along in our crafting adventures! You get to go Trick or Treating through Sunday, so we will have random.org pick a winner by Tuesday night.

Your next stop is the FABULOUS Shar !!!

Tell Gilby my favorite Halloween candy is mini kitkat bars or those chewy black jack candies.
